Grandpa Was Here

My dad came up for Thanksgiving.  He got to spend some time playing with the girls.  I thought this picture was too cute not to share.

Getting our Tree

 We picked out a Christmas tree last weekend.  Luckily we did it before the temperature dropped so low. We are slowly freezing up here! Where is that global warming when you need it?

 As you can see we had lots of fun picking it out and having dad cut it down.  We just got it decorated today, a whole week later...

Morgan's Piano Recital

Morgan had her piano recital today.  She NAILED it.  You can hear Maya cheering for her!  I took out all the applause. : )

Learning New Things Every Day!!

I can't believe how fast this last year has gone.  I remember last November thinking this baby would never get here and now she is walking and repeating sounds and actions back to us.  She has a great personality and is generally very happy.  She has had a ton of ear infections and still somehow is my best sleeper.  She gets up once a night but heck Miranda still wakes up more than that and Morgan is somehow in my bed most mornings.  We have a lot of fun with Miss Maya, the girls adore her and some how she has survived being fallen on, bitten, dropped, etc...  poor girl.

We tried for just one good picture!

There is always one that doesn't cooperate when trying to take a good picture, it is usually Miranda.  I still thought they were cute and worth sharing.

Middle Kid...

Miranda started preschool two weeks ago.  She was very excited about it until she saw Morgan get on the bus for Kindergarten and then being taken to preschool by Mom wasn't quite good enough.  I was worried she would cry when I left, but she didn't care.  She gets to do all the things her big sister has been doing the last 2 years.  She is in gymnastics and also goes to a fitness class for preschoolers.  She loves it.  She is still overly energetic but she is getting a great sense of humor.  She makes me laugh a lot, mostly at things a 3 year old shouldn't be saying or doing but she is my child.  

 First Dentist Appointment!!!! How exciting!

I Want a Little Sister!

Miranda was so excited for Morgan today, she only asked once if she could ride the bus, I explained she could when she was five and she was over it.  Having Morgan come home from her first day of school was super exciting!  Let's hope they always love each other this much!

Kindergarten watch out!!

Morgan started kindergarten today, it seems like not that long ago she was this little baby. We went and watched her and her 415 fellow kindergarteners line up and walk into school.  Morgan was excited and a little nervous, pretty sure there isn't a fingernail left on her this morning.  Class of 2026, that will probably be here before we know it too.

These Girls Are BUSY!

Maya is kind of sitting up and rolling over, she mastered the back to tummy this week.  Which is totally frustrating for her because she looks so proud and then realizes she ended up on her belly which she hates being on her belly.  So if she isn't smashing one of her arms down she quickly rolls right back over.  She is still a total joy.  She is full of smiles and giggles. 

 

Everybody but Daddy went to Kendall's 3rd birthday party. We had so much fun seeing our friends but the night had to come to an end and Kendall luckily had two sets of pj's so the girls could match!

 Morgan or should I say Captain America was standing in the neighbor's driveway when I came home the other day.  SO CUTE!  She and Adam, Superman, are good buddies, they spend a lot of time playing when it is nice outside.

 Morgan played soccer in May.  She was pretty good, she scored lots of goals.  Daddy got to coach so that was an added bonus.

 Morgan graduated from preschool!!!  She is going to be a big Kindergardener next year, boo hoo. It is unbelievable to Mommy that this is even possible. She is ready though, and once I get over how quickly almost 6 years has gone, I will be glad she is there as well!

Miranda is playing Blast Ball, so is Morgan but she missed this first game as she was visiting her Papa and Ema.  Blast Ball is pretty cool it is with nerf balls and they hit to the players on the field who run to get the ball, like normal baseball but there is only a first base.  So when the outfielders get the ball they hold it up and  yell 'Blast".  The runner tries to get to first and when they step on the bag a horn sounds from inside the bag.  So CUTE!!  Miranda is a little speed demon!

Dance Recital

Morgan is on the opposite end of the stage.  They were so cute, no one had a clue what they were doing so they are staring at their teacher behind the side curtain.

Miranda turned 3!

Miranda had a great 3rd birthday.  She had lots of family friends over for a long night of playing, eating, and getting into trouble.  She chose Hello Kitty for her birthday theme.  So of course she and Morgan had to have new shirts for the occasion.  I think Morgan was a little jealous that Miranda picked Hello Kitty, but in this house someone is always jealous.

Roll Over

Maya is learning new things.  She is such a happy baby, most of the time.  As you can see she is not a fan of tummy time.  She can roll over if she wants, most the time she puts her head down and gives up.   A couple of weeks ago something occurred that I never thought would happen to me, I picked Maya up from daycare and they told me she rolled over twice, that was a little hard to handle having someone else see my daughter do something for the first time. She is only there about 15 hours a week. I guess they probably do more tummy time than I do at home and I do really appreciate my time that I can work and have a little life of my own.  It has been awhile.  

My Growing Girls

Every once in awhile these two get along.  Miranda has to be in the right mood to allow Morgan to be any where near her.  She is very much into being a big girl and not needing Morgan to help.

I hear about 5 times a day that these two look a like and then about 2 times a day that Maya looks like Miranda.  I see both.  

Maya is turning out to be such a good baby.  She is content doing anything and loves to smile at herself in mirrors.  She has also started testing her voice, she likes to yell at herself, in a fun way.  She smiles at anyone who takes a minute to talk to her.  She is a lot of fun. Growing WAY too fast.

See, Miranda doesn't need Morgan she can raid the fridge all by herself.

 Sisterly Love!

 CJ and Brady came and stayed with us during their spring break. Then Uncle Matt and Megan came up for the weekend.  We took the kids bowling, Miranda loved it as did all the kids.

I just hate having my picture taken. HA HA

Morgan just hates to pose for pictures.  Yeah right, she is such a ham.  She has her poses down, I think her Aunt Shawn has secret Skype sessions with her and teaches her these things.  I usually look like a deer in the headlights when I have my picture taken, so it can't be me she learns this from.

She is growing so fast!

Maya is changing so fast, it is kind of sad.  She started smiling, a lot this last week.  It is very cute.  She has been sleeping so much I think she has to for all that growing she is doing.  She stays asleep for 4 hours at a time at night now which Mommy appreciates SO much.
