Thanksgiving at Papa and Ema's

We all had a great Thanksgiving weekend. We went to "papa and ema's" house as Morgan calls them. We had a lot of fun. Morgan loved playing outside on the farm. She also loved playing with her Ema. She sure loves that Ema and Papa. She has been asking me for them since we came home.

Sesame Street Live

Morgan and I went to Sesame Street Live last week. It was very interesting. Morgan puked on me before the show started and then she totally lost interest early on. Mommy wanted to ring someone's neck when they carried around the $10 Elmo balloons and that was all Morgan could think about. We left a little early it was just more than we could handle.

Halloween!

Morgan was Strawberry Shortcake for Halloween. She was supposed to be Minnie Mouse but Mommy didn't get her costume done. We think Strawberry Shortcake was appropriate and very cute anyway. Morgan has a blast. We put her in her wagon and I walked her down our street. She wouldn't say trick or treat but at least she said thanks to everyone for her candy. She loved the candy! She keeps asking me for her "shocolate".

Birthday Pictures

Morgan had a very fun birthday. Grandpa Jackson was here for the weekend and The McClintocks came over on her birthday. Her birthday party theme was Minnie Mouse. She and Collin had a great time playing together. As you can tell from some boxes and bare walls, Mom didn't have everything unpacked yet. It is finally getting there.

Zoo

Over the long weekend we took Morgan to the zoo in Madison, WI. We had lots of fun. Morgan is an animal lover. I thought she would be scared. She didn't even yell when the tiger got in her face, she was shaking a bit though. She did better than I would have!

Random Pictures

Morgan is starting to look like a little girl instead of my baby.

Morgan and Hayden

Morgan in big girl undies, driving Mommy insane peeing all over the house!

Silly pajamas. I thought these would never fit her, I bought them forever ago and they always looked so long...

This is Morgan putting together a puzzle with her Great Uncle Ken. We went to visit my grandma last week and Ken came to see us before we left. He and Morgan had a lot of fun.

Wedding

We went to Scott and Meg Schultz's wedding. Morgan had a blast. I think Amanda had fun chasing her while doubling fisting her wine as well!

Dancing on Stage

Morgan loves to dance and apparently she is a little like Angie and likes to dance on stage! Must be the red hair!

Busy Busy

Whew, what a busy/fast summer we are having... Morgan is doing great after the fall. She had a CT Scan last week that came back looking like it should have. The doctor doesn't even have another appointment set up to see her. There is still a fracture but said it will heal on it own and didn't seem concerned at all. So, we are back to the hectic life of being relocated. We are moving to Dubuque September 18. Hopefully the house we bought is done by then. Morgan is getting to her terrible twos a little early. Mom is starting to second guess this staying at home some days. We are having fun "most" of the time. Morgan talks like crazy and every day is saying something to me that amazes me, sometimes even embarrasses me. She had an elderly couple blushing in a store the other day with a very loud and naughty four letter word. I have no idea where she would have heard it, yeah right.
She is getting harder and harder to take pictures of because she wants to see herself on the camera before I get a picture taken. Hopefully I will get some good pictures or video soon.

My Poor Baby!!!

Well, if you haven't already heard, we had an awful week. Mommy and Morgan went shopping on Wednesday and had a terrible accident. Morgan fell backwards out of a shopping cart and landed on her head, on a cement floor. After 5 hours in the emergency room we found out that Morgan had fractured her skull and had bleeding around her brain. We were transfered by ambulance to the Pediatric ICU in Rockford. Mommy and Daddy were a mess! We had several CT Scans done and the blood clot that had formed between her skull and brain had not increased in size. She was in ICU Wednesday night and then transfered to a Pediatric room on Thursday after another CT Scan. We were there until Saturday morning. The last scan showed the blood clot was shrinking, she had finally stopped throwing up and was able to be off the IV fluids. We are so glad to be home. Morgan was happy to play with her toys she keeps asking us if we "want to play with me?". It was a long and very scary few days but we could not have asked for a better outcome. Moral of the story, don't put your kids in the back of a shopping cart. Thanks to all of you who prayed for her, I would say our prayers were answered.

Fourth of July

We had so much fun, even in the rain, on the 4th. We went to Osceola and watched the parade, rode a ride with CJ and Brady, and watched part of the talent show. We saw so many people we hadn't seen for awhile. Morgan ate popcorn and watched the talent show with Dyan and Lori Swaney. She had fun showing off for everyone. I no more than straped her in her car seat and she was out. She took a three hour nap after that! We were happy to get home on Sunday, we were tired!

Visiting Family

Morgan and I traveled A LOT last week. We attempted to play golf with Grandpa Jackson and C.J. for their weekly Wednesday night round. I think we played two holes and C.J. and Morgan were ready to play. Then Thursday we drove to Jamesport to see Grandma and Grandpa Cass. Morgan had quite the crew ready to meet her. Several people came to City Hall where Grandma works to see her and then many more came and had lunch with us. Morgan enjoyed showing off for everyone. Then Mommy left Morgan with Grandma and Grandpa for a much needed night out with friends from Kansas City. I think we all enjoyed it, at least Grandma and Grandpa let me believe Morgan was a good girl!
