My Poor Baby!!!

Well, if you haven't already heard, we had an awful week. Mommy and Morgan went shopping on Wednesday and had a terrible accident. Morgan fell backwards out of a shopping cart and landed on her head, on a cement floor. After 5 hours in the emergency room we found out that Morgan had fractured her skull and had bleeding around her brain. We were transfered by ambulance to the Pediatric ICU in Rockford. Mommy and Daddy were a mess! We had several CT Scans done and the blood clot that had formed between her skull and brain had not increased in size. She was in ICU Wednesday night and then transfered to a Pediatric room on Thursday after another CT Scan. We were there until Saturday morning. The last scan showed the blood clot was shrinking, she had finally stopped throwing up and was able to be off the IV fluids. We are so glad to be home. Morgan was happy to play with her toys she keeps asking us if we "want to play with me?". It was a long and very scary few days but we could not have asked for a better outcome. Moral of the story, don't put your kids in the back of a shopping cart. Thanks to all of you who prayed for her, I would say our prayers were answered.

Fourth of July

We had so much fun, even in the rain, on the 4th. We went to Osceola and watched the parade, rode a ride with CJ and Brady, and watched part of the talent show. We saw so many people we hadn't seen for awhile. Morgan ate popcorn and watched the talent show with Dyan and Lori Swaney. She had fun showing off for everyone. I no more than straped her in her car seat and she was out. She took a three hour nap after that! We were happy to get home on Sunday, we were tired!

Visiting Family

Morgan and I traveled A LOT last week. We attempted to play golf with Grandpa Jackson and C.J. for their weekly Wednesday night round. I think we played two holes and C.J. and Morgan were ready to play. Then Thursday we drove to Jamesport to see Grandma and Grandpa Cass. Morgan had quite the crew ready to meet her. Several people came to City Hall where Grandma works to see her and then many more came and had lunch with us. Morgan enjoyed showing off for everyone. Then Mommy left Morgan with Grandma and Grandpa for a much needed night out with friends from Kansas City. I think we all enjoyed it, at least Grandma and Grandpa let me believe Morgan was a good girl!
